Chics For Charity
Chics for Charity brings women together to make a difference in our community. Proceeds from various events provide support for projects and programs that ultimately benefit patients who come to Saint Francis Hospital for care and the community as a whole. Fundraisers are held three times a year varying from fun social events to educational forums and more. We hope you will join Chics for Charity to enrich your life and others.
Projects and Programs:
"GAP" Program
Provides financial assistance to patients who are discharged from the hospital but cannot afford prescription medications and other medical needs to continue their recovery at home. Without financial assistance, they may face a return stay in the hospital or even worse.
Prime of Life
Events are held at various locations throughout the community and offer free and low-cost health screenings to the uninsured and to those who cannot afford co-pays or deductibles. Preventing illness and identifying problems early keeps our community healthier, happier and more productive. Since 2009, over 4,000 residents have had screenings through Prime of Life.
Junior Nursing Academy
Designed to provide training and mentoring for young people who may be considering health care as their career choice. Students, ages 12 to 14, learn how to take vital signs, blood glucose checks, shot administration (on oranges), and CPR training.
